10/18/2023 - Cloudmersive Support

Perform the below steps to whitelist remote access for Salesforce applications that are using Cloudmersive Reverse Proxy. For the designated IPs, use the IP address of your Cloudmersive Reverse Proxy Server(s) and any DR servers.

Site.com and VisualForce

  • Login to Salesforce:
Start by logging into Salesforce with an administrative account.

  • Navigate to 'Network Access':

From the Salesforce Setup, enter “Network Access” in the Quick Find box and select "Network Access".

  • New Trusted IP Range:

Click on the 'New Trusted IP Range' button.
Enter a Start IP Address and End IP Address. If you want to whitelist only one specific IP, then the Start and End IP should be the same.
Provide a description (optional).
Click on 'Save'.

  • Restrict Access to Site.com and Visualforce:

For Site.com:

From Setup, enter “Sites” in the Quick Find box and then select "Sites".
Click the site label of the Site.com site you want to restrict.
In the "Login IP Ranges" related list, click 'New'.
Add the start and end IP addresses.
Click on 'Save'.
For Visualforce:

From Setup, enter “Apex Classes” in the Quick Find box and then select "Apex Classes".
Click the 'Security' link next to the Visualforce page or Apex class you wish to restrict.
Set the IP restrictions by adjusting the 'Profile' settings, where you can define trusted IP ranges.

API Access

  • Navigate to 'Profiles' or 'Permission Sets':

From the Salesforce Setup, enter “Profiles” (or "Permission Sets") in the Quick Find box and select the appropriate option.

  • Choose a Profile or Permission Set:

If you're using "Profiles," select a profile that needs restriction.
If you're using "Permission Sets," select a permission set that needs restriction.

  • Go to 'Login IP Ranges':

Find the “Login IP Ranges” related list.
Click on 'New' to add a new range.

  • Enter the IP Range:

Input the Start IP Address and End IP Address. If you want to whitelist only one specific IP, then the Start and End IP should be the same.
Click on 'Save'.
Any users assigned to that profile or permission set will now be restricted to accessing Salesforce, including ApexRemote calls, from only the specified IP range.
